Dear Recruit SaaS Customer,
<br>As previously announced, we are undertaking a platform upgrade for Recruit SaaS environments that leverages a fully automated DevOps pipeline and technology upgrades for improved stability and performance.
<br>This notice is to provide an update for the Modern Hosting Migration – and a new schedule for DEV/TEST moves for all Recruit 4.x Instances. If you are currently on a 3.x version please see the note below.
<br>
<br>New Schedule:
<br>DEV/TEST environments to be completed by January 30th (Formerly the week of January 20th)
<br>PROD environments to be moved over the weekend of February 17th (No change)
<br>
<br>Reason for the delay in Dev/Test:
<br>A Microsoft defect in the core CRM product was identified, causing us to accelerate the movement of SP1 into all environments. This is now included in the migration and will correct a form rendering issue that has presented itself as a “performance” issue. In an effort to be overly cautious additional testing was performed last week, requiring an extension for migration dates of the DEV/TEST environments. Our team is working hard to keep the PROD migrations on the original schedule.
<br>
<br>Client Action required:
<br>There will be a brief outage for the move. Specific schedules for the move in PROD will be communicated prior to the move so that you know when your environment will be affected. When the move is completed, typical testing of each major functional area to ensure system is operating properly should be undertaken.
<br>
<br>Note for Customers currently in Recruit 3.x:
<br>The new environment will be in place in time for your cutover migration to Recruit 4.x and your new instance will be migrated directly to the new platform as part of that cutover. No separate migration schedule will need to be established.
<br>

Planned Upgrades for Ellucian Cloud AWS Environments

<br>We are pleased to announce a platform upgrade planned for Recruit SaaS environments that leverages a fully automated DevOps pipeline and technology upgrades for improved stability and performance. The benefits of this upgrade include:
<br>
<br>• Fully automated DevOps pipeline that improves deployment quality and security of the application through integrated testing (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery)
<br>• Improves change management to ensure consistency of the features delivered
<br>• Reduces the number of manual steps thereby reducing errors during deployment
<br>• Decrease deployment downtime during upgrades and maintenance
<br>• Increases the application availability through shorter maintenance windows
<br>• Enables improved cadence of feature deliveries
<br>
<br>Firewall Rule Changes are needed for all clients as part of this initiative – these were previously announced and included again below.
<br>
<br>
<br>Impacts/Information:
<br>
<br>Customers currently in Recruit 3.x
<br>The new environment will be in place in time for your cutover migration to Recruit 4.x and your new instance will be migrated directly to the new platform as part of that cutover. No separate migration schedule will need to be established. Please note that the Firewall changes detailed below still do need to be performed prior to your migration to 4.6.

<br>Customers currently in Recruit 4.x
<br>Over the next week you will receive a timeline announcement from your Customer Success Manager with any necessary details required for your Institution to migrate to the new platform. Impacts may vary based on customer differences, but are expected to be minimal. Migration downtime is expected to be between 2-3 hours. Your Customer Success Manager will assess and coordinate this activity. Please be rest assured that our teams understand your priorities during this time period and will minimize disruptions where feasible.

<br>Action Required by ALL Recruit SaaS Clients – Firewall Rules Change – By January 6th
<br>Please be advised that a change is needed to the firewall rules at your institution to allow traffic for new Network Address Table (NAT) IP Addresses shown below. These new NAT tables are being incorporated into the AWS SaaS infrastructure to which all client Recruit Org’s will ultimately be migrated and it’s necessary to update firewall rules at your institution to accommodate.
<br>
<br>This notification details the action and timeline required for this change.
<br>
<br>Window: Please complete this change no later than January 6, 2017
<br>
<br>Activity: Your network team will need to update the firewall rules governing communication with your BRIM instance or Colleague API to allow traffic for (2) new IP addresses. All existing IPs should remain in place. Please allow traffic from the IP addresses listed below.
<br>
<br>Additional NAT Gateways:

<br>• 52.200.197.81
<br>
<br>Impact: No Impact to availability of Recruit while these changes are being made.
