Announcing the Deployment Plan for Cloud Customers

August 8 - 15th, 2017




NOTICE:    Our product team is expecting to announce general availability of our CRM Recruit 2017 Imports update for August 10th, 2017.  This notice is to provide basic information about the release and deployment plan for Ellucian Cloud customers.



INFORMATION:  To make it as easy as possible to load this release, the scope is very focused. This year's data contracts include updates to the following imports, along with fixes to high priority change requests.
*       Common Application - Support for layout changes;
*       Apply Texas - Update to the file converter to enhance application type selection, No layout changes;
*       Graduate Management Admissions (GRE) - Support for fields to import additional test values;
*       Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Support for the revised paper delivered test (rPDT);
*       ACT Enroll - Support for a new import that replaces the previous EOS and PLAN data contracts.

Please  Note: if the import is not included in the above list it means the vendor did not make annual updates to this year's data contracts. (e.g. no changes to SAT or ACT this year!).

We are planning a launch event for August 10th and our product team will provide additional pre-release notes, test plans, training material and launch event information for this release later this month via eCommunities.



DEPLOYMENT PLAN:  The overall upgrade plan is as follows:
*       TEST UPDATES - August 8th, 10th and 11th  - Daytime groups
*       PROD UPDATES - August 13th, 15th - Overnight groups

You will be notified of your specific update dates and times within those windows shortly in a separate communication.



IMPACTS:  Environments will be taken offline briefly to perform the update. It is expected that the actual outage will be between 2-3 hours for each update (Test and Prod).



NEXT STEPS:  There is no action required at this time by Customers.  You will be notified shortly of your specific schedule.  We will provide test plans and the updated macro files when your TEST and PROD updates are completed.
