SparkPost Email Hotfix Notice
October 7th & 8th, 2017
DETAILS:
To All CRM Recruit Customers Using SparkPost for email communication - this notice is to alert you to emergency Maintenance to the eCRM SaaS Servers to fix the following issues with the Email Service when attempting to send email via SparkPost:
1. If a large batch of emails are sent through communication plans, a field on the email send entity will reach its character limit of 400 causing the email send to fail. When this fails, an email service send activity will not be created.
2. When sending an email service email through the dialog "Send to a view" feature, if the view used has criteria against a related entity, the email will be sent to all contacts in the database.
DESCRIPTION OF PLANNED WORK:
A hotfix will be deployed to the Ellucian CRM Recruit environments to address these issues.
WINDOW:
Timeline for deploying the fix:
· TEST: Saturday Oct 7 between 10AM and 2PM
· PROD: Sunday Oct 8 between 11PM and 5AM (Monday)
IMPACTS:
There is no downtime expected. Since work is being performed on the environments there is a chance of intermittent slowness or the occasional disconnect during the window as well.
ACTION REQUIRED:
There is no action required by Customers. This announcement is for informational purposes only.
