Monthly Maintenance Release (MMR) Announcement

October MMR for TEST Oct 24/PROD Oct 26th

UPDATE: The October MMR will now require an outage during the specified window for both TEST and PRODUCTION. Since our latest correspondence a critical issue related to Communication Plan performance was reported. Due to its critical nature we have included this fix in the MMR. The fix will require a production maintenance window no greater than one hour with expected individual downtime of twenty minutes. Please see below for timing for your region (Note: Canadian customers are in EU Zone)

DETAILS:
The first scheduled MMR be deployed to TEST environments overnight on October 24th, followed by PROD environments overnight on October 26th, 2017. Details about the defects that will be resolved can be found below and can be shared with your Ellucian CRM Recruit users.

Our plan is not to have an MMR during months when we are deploying a full release, as such the next MMR after October will be scheduled for January 2018.


TEST OUTAGE WINDOWS:
EU: A 1-hour maintenance window is needed for the TEST update
SCHEDULED WINDOW: Tuesday October 24th starting at 4 PM Eastern and concluding at 5 PM Eastern

US/LAC/AUS: a 3-hour maintenance window is needed for the TEST update
SCHEDULED WINDOW: Overnight Tuesday October 24th – Wednesday Oct 25th - starting at 4 AM Eastern and concluding around 7 AM Eastern.

PRODUCTION OUTAGE WINDOWS:
EU: A 1-hour maintenance window is needed for the TEST update
SCHEDULED WINDOW: Thursday October 26th starting at 4 PM Eastern and concluding at 5 PM Eastern

US/LAC/AUS: a 1-hour maintenance window is needed for the PROD update with an expected 20-minute outage during this window
SCHEDULED WINDOW: Overnight Thursday Oct 26th – Friday Oct 27th – Starting at 5 AM Eastern and concluding around 6 AM Eastern

IMPACT:
We expect twenty minutes of downtime during the window specified. While your instance is offline, a Maintenance page will be displayed. Since work is being performed on the environments there is a chance of intermittent slowness or the occasional disconnect during the entire window.

ACTION REQUIRED:
There is no action required by Customers. This announcement is for informational purposes only.
VERIFY: The Cloud Services team and Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) will be carefully monitoring all activity during and after maintenance is completed to confirm all services are operating correctly.
