Deployment Plan for US Cloud Customers




NOTICE:    Our product team is pleased to announce general availability of our CRM Recruit 4.8.1 Update as of August 16th, 2017.

This notice is to provide basic information about the release and deployment plan for Ellucian Cloud customers on our US Pods.

A summary of the release is here:

CRM Recruit 4.8.1 delivers the following enhancements:
*       (No CR) - Ability to send a Reject decision to UCAS

CRM Recruit 4.8.1 delivers improved quality through defect correction:
*       Addresses 2 Client Change Requests
*   (CR-00149371<https://ellucian.my.salesforce.com/a0x16000005Z0O5?srPos=0&srKp=a0x>) - Agents ability to view decision letters
*   (CR-000149869<https://ellucian.my.salesforce.com/a0x16000005ZCoR>) - Data Transfer Tool fails to transfer application types
*       Addresses 1 Internal Change Request
*   (No CR) - Task services in Cloud may produce an error in Recruit when very large transactions are processes

*BRIM update 2.2.2 to enable the following for BANNER customers:
*       (No CR) - Reject Decisions
*       (CR-000149879<https://ellucian.my.salesforce.com/a0x16000005ZCr2?srPos=0&srKp=a0x>) - Incorrect field mappings ("AdmittedDate", "centreNumber")



*Please note:  the BRIM 2.2.2 update is OPTIONAL and only needed to obtain the rejection enhancement and mapping corrections above.



DEPLOYMENT PLAN:  The upgrade plan for US as follows:
*       TEST UPDATE - Sites will be updated in groups  between Wednesday August 16th - Friday August 18th
*       PROD UPDATE - Sites will be updated overnight Sunday August 20th OR Monday August 21st

You will receive an update email with the specific schedule for your institution's TEST and PROD environments shortly.



IMPACTS:  Environments will be taken offline briefly to perform the update. It is expected that the actual outage will be between 2-3 hours for each update (Test and Prod).



NEXT STEPS:  There is no action required at this time by Customers.
