I tried to reassign the records on the current user that has left (Allie Wolz) so you can delete that user and add Jeffery Damerall, but I am getting an error:

Hi Alix -

We understand this is increasing the time frame of this REQ. Sorry for the delay so far. As Palaniappan said, its not possible to change both the names & either any one name can be changed if the Concern person raises a REQ or REQ raised behalf of the concern person.

Here, since the User left the university & due to security reasons, we suggest you to create a new account with the same mail ID to proceed further.

Regret the Inconvenience

We have possibilities to change the First name or last name if a user requesting for his/her own account. In this case user left the university which was stated by you. so we don't have option to change the full name. Also can you please give us the Request number for name change which was done before a month ago.

We successfully changed both first and last names of a user about a month ago. Why has this process changed from a month ago?

Hi Alix,

To be clear we will change the second name like the scenario's you have mentioned like if a person got Marriage, but in this case both the first name and second name needs to be changed. that too they both were not same.

Yes It will cause an issue because when two people use same email Id, if X is requested for password reset the password will be delivered to both X and Y.

The records tied to Allie Wolz will be removed if once account deleted.

I am ok with you doing this. However, I know we have changed names in the past. Specifically when someone got married and a name changed. Will this cause an issue if you create a new user with the same email? What about all records tied to Allie Wolz?

Just to add, that we can still use the Old Mail ID with the new username and the current challenge is we can't update the "Names" as you requested alone.

Please confirm to proceed further on removing the old account and creating the new account with the same mail ID.

It seems impossible to update name in an existing account. Kindly let us know if new account needs to be created for Jeffrey Damerall.
In that case the old account (i.e) adadmin\awolz needs to be deleted. Please let us know if it is fine to delete the old account. Awaiting your response
