Urgent Maintenance Notification – Recruit SaaS
*** BANNER ERP CLIENT ACTION REQUIRED ***
Please be advised that to be compliant with national security standards best practices Ellucian will implement a change that forces communication from Ellucian CRM Recruit SaaS Servers to be on the TLS 1.2 protocol. We initially communicated this change in August 2016 to give clients adequate time to implement needed client-side changes to accommodate this protocol change.
This notification details the maintenance timeline and planned work.
ACTIVITY
Perform Server Maintenance
WINDOWS:
There are separate windows for Test and Production as follows:
TEST:
Wednesday March 8th, 2017 starting at 6 PM EST and completed by 9 PM EST.
PRODUCTION:
Thursday March 9th, 2017 starting at 11 PM EST and completed by March 10th, 2017 by 1 AM EST.
IMPACT:
There will not be an interruption of service during the maintenance window.
CLIENT ACTION:
Please read below to determine needed actions by your institution based on the ERP solution you are integrating CRM Recruit with:
BANNER:
The following components must meet these minimum requirements:
* BRIM 2.0.0.3 or higher with Java version 7 (1.7) or higher
* Web Logic 10.3.6 needed for Java 7
* Add the following under JAVA_OPTIONS in the WebLogic startup script to force TLS 1.2: weblogic.security.SSL.minimumProtocolVersion=[TLSv1.2]

COLLEAGUE, POWERCAMPUS, or OTHER:
* No changes needed to integration components
* This message is informative and for awareness of the change
IMPACT OF NON COMPLIANCE:
If you are a Banner ERP Client and not in compliance with the above minimum requirements, there will be an interruption of integration to your ERP when the change is made:
* For all customers in TEST - Wednesday March 8th; AND
* For customers already moved to the ‘Modern Hosting’ environment in PROD – Thursday March 9th; OR
* For customers not yet moved to the ‘Modern Hosting’ environment in PROD – when your environment is moved later this month.
VERIFY:
The Cloud Services team and Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) will be carefully monitoring all activity during and after maintenance is completed to confirm all services are operating correctly. Status announcements will be sent prior to work commencing and once all work has been verified completed.
